Despite having some mutual friends and frequenting many similar places, somehow, Sarah and Mark never met. As the pandemic unknowingly was quickly approaching, Sarah and Mark connected through a trusty old dating app in March of 2020. After a couple weeks of texting and exchanges of pictures of Willa, they scheduled their first date. Within about five minutes of meeting, Mark will tell you he knew Sarah was the one. Over Charcuterie and wine (Sarah’s favorite two things on earth), they hit it off. Two bottles later, they would’ve stayed up all night if Sarah didn’t have work at 7am. After a long kiss goodnight, Sarah went home, thinking it went well and wondering if Mark felt the same. Mark’s plans were already in the works. The next morning, while Sarah was hoping Mark liked her, she got a text. “I’m at your front door, wanted another kiss before work.” From that moment on, almost 2 years down and already a lifetime of memories, their fire is shining brighter than ever, and they couldn’t be more in love with one another. It all cultivated when Sarah, after 3 failed attempts to go on a girls Napa trip (Covid and wildfires), finally rebooked the trip. However, this time she asked Mark to go. That was the opportunity he was waiting for. At Auberge du Soleil, overlooking Napa Valley, on August 12, 2021, Mark got on one knee and asked Sarah to make his life complete. Sarah’s passion for traveling and activity planning, and Mark’s boundless energy, makes for a fun-filled life. We wouldn’t want it any other way. We are so fortunate that we have not only have each other in our lives now, but so many friends and family to share it with. We can’t wait to get married on April 2nd! And we hope you will all be able to join us in Houston to celebrate our recent nuptials on April 23rd!
