Jojo and Abby met at an internship at Spruce Lake that started on Labor Day 2024. Their friendship grew quickly in their small 6 person internship. In December they officially started dating. There were some challenges living in a small group while dating but with lots of prayer and counsel from mentors and friends they continued to grow closer. Jojo and Abby asked Vinny and Vicki, who also worked at Spruce Lake, to be mentors to them and they are so grateful for that relationship. Post internship, although an hour and a half distance between them, they still managed to see each other at least once a week. They started going to a church in between them called Mountainview Chapel. Through prayer and lots of conversations, they both knew they were going to get married one day. Despite Abby’s hate of surprises, Jojo was able to pop the question without her knowing on February 24th 2026. They both can’t wait to see many of their friends and family members at their wedding. All of you and many more have had an impact on one of their lives in a unique way and they are grateful for you. Only by the grace and sovereign power of God are they together and they both hope to glorify him with their lives and in their marriage.
