We have a room block reserved at the Charleston Marriott for your convenience. The special rate is available until April 7, 2026, so be sure to reserve your spot before then! That said, we also encourage you to explore — Charleston is full of charming boutique hotels, cozy inns, and vacation rentals. Whether you want to stay in the heart of historic downtown, near the waterfront, or tucked away in a beach town, there are plenty of options to make your trip memorable.
For Women Flowy dresses, jumpsuits, or chic separates in coastal or spring tones like pastels or coastal colors. Wedges or chunky heels are perfect for the boat and uneven surfaces. Please avoid wearing anything with a stiletto heel. For Men Light suits or chinos with a crisp button-down — ties optional. Loafers or dress shoes (no sneakers or flip-flops, please).
We love your little ones, but this will be an adults-only celebration. Unless children are specifically listed on your invitation, we kindly ask that you join us for a kid-free evening of dinner, dancing, and dockside fun!
No, the ceremony is at Old St. Andrews Parish (2604 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29414) and the reception will be on board The Carolina Girl (2408 Maybank Hwy, Johns Island, SC 29455). Please give yourself enough time in between the ceremony and reception to get to the boat on time.
Plan for about a 30-minute drive from the church to the boat. Friday afternoon traffic can vary, so giving yourself a bit of buffer time is a good idea.
Parking is available at the church. There is also parking at the marina, but it is public and first come, first served. To help with limited parking, we recommend carpooling or using Uber/Lyft when possible.
Please arrive to the boat by 5:45 PM at the latest. The boat will depart promptly at 6PM and cannot wait for late arrivals. With Friday afternoon traffic and marina parking, we recommend allowing extra time.
