Zeb & Elizabeth’s Story of Forever

11/26/2020

What started out as a not so serious, casual dating experience online that turned into falling in love and combining our families as one. After a month of chatting online and video chatting, we decided it was time to meet in person. On November 10th 2020, we met and Zebulon instantly kissed Elizabeth (Our first kiss) and conversation went on as if we had known each other our whole lives. We needed to see each other again. That’s when our car dates began. We talked about our lives, our dreams, our heartaches and our passion for our children and, the same music. We shared many milkshakes, snacks, and even stole a few kisses and we cuddled like we would never see each other again. The simple act of holding hands made us feel a connection unlike any other. We were in the middle of a pandemic and everywhere was nearly shut down, and we didn’t want to involve the children until we knew we were serious. On November 26th 2020, we decided to go to each other’s family Thanksgivings and we introduced our children together to each other. Zeb officially asked Elizabeth if she wanted to be his girlfriend. She said yes of course. As the months went on we grew inseparable. Two souls clinging to another and the love quietly grew. Love for each other and each other’s children. Later on we decided to make “the move”. We couldn’t dare not spending one more night away from each other and we knew this was going what we wanted. Our love grew and our family grew. We faced many trials together and apart, but we weathered the storms hand in hand. Then came the day, after waiting to see how our lives were blending and how our kids felt about us being together, the questions began. When are you getting married, are you my stepdad/stepmom yet? The decision wasn’t one that came without thinking of the babies and making sure this milestone was one we were ready for. So on September 20th 2022, Zeb asked Elizabeth for her hand in marriage on the front porch of their home. We called a few close friends and family who met us at the Justice of the Peace for a small marriage ceremony to bond our love in marriage. In sharing our story we appreciate you all that are going to be joining us for our celebration of marriage. Though we’re having just a short ceremony of hand-binding to honor our vows in front of all of our family and friends. We hope you will share this special moment with us.
