While the city of Colorado Springs sits at an elevation of 6035 ft, the venue in Black Forest is at 7575 ft above sea level. If you are coming from a low elevation, please take a day to adjust to the altitude before taking on adventures like Pikes Peak, avoid strenuous activities on your first day, limit alcoholic drinks since the effects will be stronger at higher altitude, and stay hydrated to avoid dizziness, headaches, and altitude sickness.
The ceremony will take place outdoors. If there were to be inclement weather, we have an indoor backup plan. Cocktail hour and reception will take place indoors but have access to the outdoor patio with some yard games.
Honestly, with Colorado weather we will never truly know the answer until the day of. The typical August temperature in Colorado Springs is a high of 86 and low of 57 degrees.

Your invitation should specify if you have a plus one or not. If you think there has been a mistake, please reach out to us!
The ceremony starts at 5:00 pm so the venue will be accessible starting at 4:30 pm.

We ask for you to be mindful of the professional photographer during the ceremony and put away all devices. We will take a pause at the beginning of the ceremony to give you the opportunity to take out your devices for photos. We will then ask you to put your devices away for the remainder of the ceremony. Take as many pictures as you like during the reception! We would love to see any of your posts, so please tag Zayne or Erin in all uploads/posts. Please share any photos you take with us by uploading them to the QR code that will be placed around the venue.
If you are not from Colorado, please be aware that In a move to enhance road safety and reduce distracted driving crashes, a new Colorado law went into effect on January 1, 2025, that prohibits drivers from using a mobile electronic device while driving, though hands-free accessories are permitted. The new law expands the ban on using cellphones beyond just texting. It now includes holding or manually using a phone or other mobile device for voice calls or any other reason, requiring all drivers to use a hands-free device. A driver may not hold or handle their cellphone at any time while driving. Only hands-free calls are permitted. Handling the phone to initiate a call must be done before entering the roadway. No touching or handling of cellphones while driving is permitted, including while stopped at traffic signals.
