We're getting married!

Stephanie and Zayn first crossed paths at Skorpios in Mykonos at the end of July 2022. Stephanie was on a girls’ trip, and Zayn was wrapping up a European vacation with the boys. Neither of them had originally planned to go to Mykonos, but fate had other plans. Because who doesn’t love a little spontaneous travel, right? Stephanie booked her trip just two days before, deciding to join her friend Tamara in Mykonos. Meanwhile, Zayn, who was originally heading to NYC, extended his trip when flight prices soared—so he took the next flight from Croatia to the party island of Mykonos. Because nothing says "vacation" like a last-minute detour to a place where everyone’s dancing on tables. The day before they met, Zayn and his friends had crossed paths with Stephanie’s friends (as Stephanie hadn’t landed yet), but it wasn’t until the next day that they actually met. At first, Zayn wasn’t sure who Stephanie was, but he introduced himself as he climbed up the stairs to where she was. They were introduced a total of three times over the span of 10 minutes. If you’re wondering how that happened, let’s just say the introductions weren’t exactly smooth sailing when everyone had a couple drinks. But hey, two days and one kiss were all it took for everything to click—some people take years to figure that out, but these two managed to do it in under 48 hours possibly less. The timing was bittersweet, though, as Zayn had to return to Australia, and he wasn’t sure if Stephanie felt the same way. But out of the blue, Stephanie messaged him on his birthday, sparking non-stop conversations ever since. Their connection only grew stronger despite the distance—first while Stephanie was in Romania visiting family, and later when she was back in the US. Let’s just say they accidentally racked up some international phone bills… Zayn promised he would come spend New Year’s with Stephanie, but when his dad saw how upset he was about the distance, he encouraged Zayn to go visit for Stephanie's birthday in November. So, Zayn flew to NYC and stayed for four weeks. During that time, they both caught a viral eye infection to the point they almost went blind. Also during this time, Stephanie's mom met Zayn to check up on who sparked Stephanie's interest (cause Stephanie hates everyone....jk...) Yep, romance on a whole new level—nothing says "getting to know each other" like viral infections that force you to rely on each other for basic survival. But they powered through, and this time of being totally blind to the world (literally and figuratively) brought them even closer. They were both nervous about how things would unfold, but they went with the flow—and that flow brought Zayn back to NYC in December, but the weeks leading up to then felt like an eternity away from each other. Long story short, they fell in love, eloped with an intimate religious ceremony, and got legally married—surprising everyone with how quickly it all happened. In fact, it happened so fast that they didn’t even have time to tell anyone at first. But once they did, the love and support from friends and family was overwhelming. It’s where two worlds came together as one—after only three introductions, two days, and one viral eye infection. They can’t imagine it any other way, and that’s why Greece holds such a special place in their hearts. They can't wait to break dishes (Opa!!) with everyone they love in Santorini!
