Oh the romance! Zack and Ashley met in their high school spanish class in 2008! Luckily for Ashley, Zack transferred to North Tonawanda High School his junior year and, though he was a year older and excelled in spanish, he magically ended up in her sophomore level spanish class. Love at first sight is corny but there was an instant attraction from day one! The school year went on and memories developed, but it wasn't until Valentine's Day that they finally hung out outside of school at the super romantic China Wok. Zack tried to put a move on Ashley by asking her the sad pick up line: "If you were a pirate, would you want your parrot on the left or right shoulder?" as a ploy to put his arm around Ashley while he pointed to each shoulder. Yeah... high school was lame... The next day, after school, Zack decided to ask Ashley out. Spoiler alert: she said yes! They never knew at that moment that they would be spending a lifetime together but looking back now, that was one of the best decisions they've ever made. We are entirely grateful to have grown up together and look forward to growing old together. ❤

Fun Fact: when Zack and Ashley we're younger, the Lion King came to Shea's Performing Arts Center. Turns out, they were both at the same show! Well, The Lion King came back to Shea's Performing Arts Center, and since they had both decided it was the best performance they'd ever seen, they decided to go again (but together this time)! Zack knew for a while now that Ashley wanted a low key proposal. He planned to take Ashley to see the Lion King, go back home where he would make her a nice romantic dinner, reminisce on some old memories, and then pop the question. Ashley, of course, had something else in mind! After the show had ended and they ventured the cold walk to the car, Ashley decided that she was craving Buffalo Wild Wings. So much for Zack's romantic dinner plans! Zack asked Ashley a couple times if she was sure that was what she wanted. Obviously Ashley was sure! Duh, it's Buffalo Wild Wings! So they enjoyed some conversation and each other's company at one of their favorite restaurants until it was time to go home. When they returned home, they went inside and Zack turned on the Christmas tree lights and poured two glasses of wine, trying to create a romantic moment. Mind you, it is almost midnight at this point so Ashley is questioning Zack on why he is doing all of this rather than getting ready for bed. Zack decided to answer her confusion with the question of a lifetime. ❤ Though the evening didn't go the way Zack had planned, as life often doesn't, he did not want to wait another minute to ask Ashley to spend the rest of his life with him. The truth of it is, a night out together at Buffalo Wild Wings is the best kind of "Zash" special. Plus, we had left overs the next day! :) If this isn't us, I don't know what is ❤
