Sunset Cliffs is a beautiful place to catch the sunset! Just park on the street and walk up to the cliff edge! It is also pretty close to Cesarina (one of our fave Italian places) so it makes for a pretty amazing date night!
Take a relaxing cruise around a the marina powered by your feet! After this excursion, grab some fish tacos from nearby Point Loma Seafood.
Take a stroll around Balboa Park! This is the first spot we rushed to after getting engaged. There are plenty of activities to include a Japanese Friendship Garden and lots of museums!
Take a tour of the mighty USS Midway, a former active duty Midway-class aircraft carrier serving from 1945 to 1992! We visited the USS Midway the day we got engaged - befitting of our combined Navy roots (surface for Taylor & aviation for Zari)!
Take a stroll around Seaport Village and take in the sights of San Diego! There are plenty of shops and restaurants to visit, as well as enjoying the view of San Diego Harbor! From here you can get a great view of US Navy ships that happen to be entering/exiting port as well as a good look at any aircraft carriers that are currently in port over on Coronado. Seaport Village is also a stones throw away from the USS Midway Museum
A quirky little place serving small batch gelato and sorbet. Definitely experience their tasting menu (known as a “flavor tour”) before you make a decision on which flavor to get! There are also other wonderful locations in Ocean Beach (An’s Electric Repair) and Del Mar (An’s Hat Makers)!
Another wonderful small batch ice cream shop serving up wonderful treats!
A wonderful Italian restaurant with authentic handmade pasta daily! Reservations are recommended
A wonderful Mexican eatery that is a definitely a great spot to get a good California Burrito! This was actually Taylor’s first restaurant he tried when he moved to San Diego!
A popular Japanese udon noodle restaurant from Japan that has opened its doors in San Diego! Some of the best udon we have ever had!
Our favorite AYCE sushi restaurant!
A San Diego (well, technically Tijuana) classic! Hands down, the BEST tacos in town.
A wonderful spot in the heart of San Diego to make you forget you’re in the city! Definitely make time to see the new pandas! The zoo is free for all active duty military with valid ID!🇺🇸
