Ari and Mandy met freshman year of high school and then also went to college together! Through group projects, a missing sleeping bag, weekend shenanigans, blood donations, love of cats, grad school advice, life advice, watching scary movies, long walks, convincing me to move back to Sac, and agreeing to Star Wars Burlesque as the perfect opportunity to meet Zack, she's always been there! Not sure where I would be without this girl always in my corner <3

Ari and Darby first met at my family reunion in CA when we were 18 (she's married to my cousin!). Because she was the newbie, I did the honorable thing of letting her have the bed and sleeping on cushions that came apart. Our friendship took off quickly, with extra visits on each coast, creating the most Phunph at the lake, our love of running, and the importance of our cats' birthdays. Darby and Jeremy also flew out to drive cross-country with me when I moved for grad school and took me in during fire season and Covid!

Zack and Ben met on a bench. It was a rickety bench, and both were trying their hardest to avoid shifting their center of gravity so that their butts would not touch. Fortunately, their butts did touch, and they’ve been touching butts ever since. From cruises, concerts, and camping, you’ll probably have no idea what they’re saying. Mehtoon.

When they met, Sabastian thought Zack was “kinda weird” and Zack thought “I don’t think he likes me.” Sabastian was right but Zack was wrong, which has been the case whenever Sabastian warns Zack from making poor life decisions. Fortunately he’s here today to help Zack make the best one. (Or he might steal Zack for himself. TBD)
