We officially met our junior year of high school in English class. However, Bobby had noticed Zarah sophomore year when they were both in their history class during lunch. After meeting, we went from classmates to friends when Bobby asked for Zarah's phone number on a dare. Since then Bobby and Zarah have hardly had a day go by without an exchange of messages. Soon after that friendship turned to something more, when Bobby finally got up the courage and asked Zarah to the movies on Christmas Eve 2013. The rest is history.
After high school, we were lucky enough to both end up at Fresno State. Our first year we enjoyed carpooling, walking to class, and attending Fresno State football and basketball games. Sophomore year, our schedules got harder to coordinate and we got busier with different activities. Some weeks we would only see each other when Bobby would stop by Zarah's Starbucks before class. The spring semester of junior year, Zarah decided to study abroad in Italy. While those four months were challenging, they made our relationship stronger. We had talked about marriage from the beginning of relationship, but after Italy marriage became a matter of when not if.
Bobby and Zarah had talked about getting married for some time. Zarah even helped pick out the ring! Even though Zarah knew that a proposal was coming, she was very surprised when Bobby popped the question at Woodward Park in Fresno. While it took Zarah a moment to realize what was happening, she eventually said yes and they went to share their exciting news with both their families who were waiting back at Zarah's house.
