We’re Getting Married!

It all began in 2015 on the first day of their French "The Language of Love” class. ZaNiiya was a freshman, and Jayllen was a sophomore. Jayllen walked in late (yes on the first day) trying to be cool. As cliche as it sounds, it was "love at first sight,”. Once everyone settled down, their teacher immediately assigned everyone in class a French name; Jayllen’s was Malik and ZaNiiya’s was Ann-Marie. Thankfully, there was a group assignment on the first day. Jayllen’s football teammate, who we will call “Mr. Middleman/Matchmaker” sitting in between Jayllen and ZaNiiya must have detected something special was in the making for these two. He made sure during that assignment Jayllen and ZaNiiya knew each other’s real name. When class was over ZaNiiya walked out first. Even though Jayllen was sitting a few seats in front of her, she did not say anything as she walked past. However, his teammate “Mr. Middleman/Matchmaker” yelled “Bye ZaNiiya.” As ZaNiiya turn to say goodbye it was yet another moment in time for her eyes to meet Jayllen’s eyes and with the biggest smile Jayllen quickly said goodbye too. After two weeks of smiles in their French class, ZaNiiya decided to write her phone number in Jayllen’s notebook. She told him not to read what she had written until he got home. When Jayllen discovered ZaNiiya’s phone number, he might have been a tab nervous, but he made the call. I am sure at this point you can tell Jayllen has not stopped calling…lol ZaNiiya and Jayllen have had so many memorable moments since 2015. On October 25th, 2025, they will share the most sacred moment of their lives with family and friends as they become one, uniting in Holy matrimony.
