Visit the park our venue sits and enjoy a gander through the woods! There are trails that extend throughout the park and into the woods. Feel free to explore during our wedding as well!
A favorite in Pittsburgh is Frick Park. The environmental center offers a nice place to park with multiple branching trails. A great place to get lost in the woods! Very close to Squirrel Hill's shops along Forbes and Murray Ave too! Favorites include Turkish Kebab House, Commonplace Coffee, Riverstone Books, Pigeon's Bagels and Allegro Health Bakery.
We generally park by the main office and follow the upper trail to the Wildflower Field. Most of the flowers will likely be dead by September, but you'll still see Asters and Black-Eyed Susans! There are various parking lots around the park for easier access, if you'd rather not follow a poorly marked path in the woods.
One of our favorite coffee shops. Located in the heart of Shadyside, there is plenty of fun shops in the area! Right next door you'll find Kards Unlimited and across the street is a Pamela's Diner.
A newly built up section of Pittsburgh's Strip. Much easier for parking and plenty of new shops to take a fun gander! If you head a street over to Penn Ave, you'll find the main set of shops and street stalls, that make this area popular. Recommendations include James Cafe, Allegheny Coffee & Tea Exchange, Cinderlands, DiAnoia's and Grandpa Joe's.
Steve's favorite trail in the city. Technically a bike trail, so get ready for some distance if you're up a trek!
