Our Love Story

We met 28 years ago at a small club called INTOWN in Covington, Kentucky. I was dancing with one of Jeff’s best friends when he asked me a simple question: “Where are you from?” I told Jeff I was from Victorville, California, and to my surprise, he knew exactly where it was and even named a few locations in my hometown. His best friend immediately knew it was “a wrap,” to say the least. Jeff and I spent the next year and a half hanging out, though only our parents knew about our relationship at the time. We enjoyed going to museums, zoos, and one of my favorite memories was a picnic at Winton Woods in Cincinnati, Ohio. I always enjoyed Jeff’s company, especially our late-night conversations that stretched into early mornings and dancing at the small club in Covington.  Unfortunately, we went our separate ways due to a misunderstanding. Despite the time apart, we kept in touch over the next 25 years. We shared many life experiences, and one that stood out was the loss of our spouses, both due to COVID. In 2024, I reached out to Jeff, apologized for believing the “hear-say,” and for being mean to him. That evening, we spoke for three hours as if we had never been apart. From that day forward, we reconnected and began dating again. We even created “Our Church Flow Sunday,” sharing a picture to celebrate our journey together. As June 7, 2025, approaches, it will mark 28 years to the day since we first met in Covington, Kentucky. We are excited to share this special celebration with you!
