We’re Getting Married!

We met in college at Bucks County Community College. We were in the same English class and on the first day we were the first students to get to class. There was one day that we actually saw each other outside of class walking to our cars. Matt was the first one to strike up a conversation. After that Matt would wait for me after class almost everyday.

We went to a restaurant called 59 Almshouse. I thought it was just a casual date night. Matt seemed a little off, but I thought he was tired from a long day of work. We finished up our meals and ordered dessert. I got the crème brûlée and Matt got the pumpkin cheesecake. Our dessert comes out, on my plate it says “Will You Marry Me,” and the ring was on a blackberry. It took a few seconds for me to realize what was happening and I just started crying. Matt was speechless. He saw me crying and he started to cry. I said “YES” and everyone in the restaurant started clapping. It was a night we’ll never forget.
