You can find tickets for sale on places like: Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist for a pretty reasonable price. That’s where Zane and I have always gotten our tickets for 1,2,or 3-day passes. Also look into ACL late nights, sometimes they have artists with more intimate smaller shows if the big festival isn’t your vibe. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 10-12
AustOberfest Austin Oktoberfest
The most famous German celebration has been happening since 1812. It is so über that it has its own special brew - Oktoberfest beer. And GTHS ensures Austin gets to share in this celebration. According to the Austin Chronicle, “the German-Texan Heritage Society certainly brings the most authentic Oktoberfest game in town”. We’re located in the heart of the Red River Cultural District where you will find one of Austin’s best kept secrets, the German Free School: a historical building and terraced gardens to enjoy the afternoon of all things German and Gemütlichkeit. Gemütlichkeit, you ask? It’s a German word used to describe a state of belonging, warmth, and friendliness.
