We both have different memories of where exactly we first met, but what we do agree on is that it was at a church function. We served in the same young adults ministry where we got to see each other serve others and share the hope of Jesus. Shortly after meeting, Zane was so in love that he hired Savannah to work with him so he could see her everyday. Needless to say, that worked in both of our favor. We worked together for a couple years before dating, and eventually Zane could not take it any longer and had to ask Savannah on a date. Our first date was like a Hallmark movie (no literally, it was a Christmas Hallmark event) with lights, hot cocoa, ice skating and of course Santa. After our picture with Santa, Zane wanted to buy the picture, and of course, "save money Sav" said "no no don't waste your money." (I'll admit, I was wrong and I wish we had that picture now. - Savannah) After that we went to a wine bar and talked for hours. It was so great and fun and exactly what we needed! Needless to say, that first date worked out and has led us to many more dates. On January 16th, 2026 Zane got down on one knee at White Rock Lake. It was the most perfect evening and Savannah was so happy and in awe of the moment. We got to call our families and enjoy a beautiful dinner reminiscing on the night and talked through every little detail. It felt absolutely perfect! We have seen God grow us and teach us many lessons. We have seen Him be so faithful in our relationship and we are able to love each other better because of Jesus' love for us. The most important thing we have learned is to trust God in His timing, rest in His promises and share who He is with others. Our prayer for our marriage is to grow deeper and more in love with Jesus first and each other second. We want the world to experience the same hope and love that we have in Jesus. Thank you for being a part of our lives and a part of our special day! We love you! Love, Zane and Sav
