FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

For our special day, we’ve decided to keep our wedding adults-only (18+), so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening with us. We hope you’ll take this as a chance for a special date night! To ensure all of our guests have the same experience, no exceptions will be made.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we’re keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation and when you RSVP.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than September 10th, 2026.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes. There will be plenty of parking to accommodate all of our guests.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Dress code will be rustic chic attire. • Ladies: Flowy maxi or midi dresses, sundresses with lace/floral details, or dressy jumpsuits/skirts in earthy fall tones (sage, terracotta, rust, navy, beige, muted florals, or warm neutrals). Add a light cardigan or denim jacket for layering as the sun sets. •  Gentlemen: Button-down shirts, khakis/dress pants, optional blazer or vest, and boots, loafers, or clean casual shoes. Nice jeans styled up are totally fine! • Please NO white, off white, or cream colors. Shoe tips (important for grass!): Wedges, block heels, flats, cowboy boots, or low heels are perfect—avoid stilettos that might sink in. Comfortable sandals or boots work great too. No need for anything overly formal—skip athletic wear, shorts, flip-flops, t-shirts, or super-casual jeans with holes to keep the celebratory feel.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive no later than 3:00 pm for our 3:30 pm ceremony. This gives everyone plenty of time to park, find a seat, and soak in the beautiful fall surroundings before we begin. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30 pm, so arriving a bit early is appreciated! We’ll transition to the barn for cocktail hour and reception afterward.

Question

Are we allowed to take pictures?

Answer

We've hired an amazing wedding photographer who will be capturing our wedding. We invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony. We ask that you turn off and put away all cameras and phones until the celebration continues at the reception.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Target and Amazon. Please see the “registry” tab on our website.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Our dinner menu will include brisket, pulled pork, and smoked chicken along with an assortment of sides. We will do our best to accommodate any requests but due to catering restrictions we cannot guarantee special requests will be met.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We are hosting an open bar which will include beer and wine. Please plan ahead for a safe ride to your accommodations. *Please note, Uber and Lyft are very scarce in Carthage and taxis are non-existent.*

Question

Will there be a shuttle service to and from the hotel?

Answer

No shuttle service will be provided.

Question

How do I get from the airport to the hotel or venue?

Answer

Uber, Lyft, and rental cars are all solid options.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Quality Inn Gordonsville, super close to the venue. For more information please visit the travel page on our website.
