The Start to Our Story:

Story of second chances, from day one.

Zach and Melissa first became acquainted online, Plenty of Fish, to be exact. Oh, the internet. ❤ The first meeting was supposed to be for coffee, but Zach actually forgot and that didn't work out as planned! Luckily, Melissa thought he was super cute, so she gave him a second chance! After a few terrible first dates, and a lot of persistence, Zach asked Melissa on a few more dates and eventually, on her birthday, Melissa realized that second chances, lead to amazing opportunities... And so, the first kiss of their future. 💋

Our Engagement Story

Details about the day of our engagement!

During a visit from Melissa's mom, Zach decided to surprise the 2 of them with a spontaneous day trip. He took them to a beautiful lunch at The Oasis in Austin, Tx. A place he had told Melissa several times he wanted to take her, but never had the perfect chance. It was a beautiful day! In the middle of lunch, Zach said he wanted the restaurant's photographer to take a photo of them overlooking the lake. After walking over to the balcony to take a photo, Melissa turned around and Zach gently took her face in his hands; then a brief pause by Melissa's mom to load Facebook live(for all the people who knew the proposal was coming) and he told Melissa how much he loved her and wanted her to spend the rest of her life with him. He then dropped to one knee and proposed. Melissa was so excited she couldn't make a noise, or even cry, when he pulled out the ring. Of course, she said "yes!" and the restaurant crowd behind them erupted into applause. ❤

Our Wedding Date

Take Two:

This was definitely one of the most difficult wedding decisions from the start. After selecting what Zach and Melissa both felt was the perfect date, 11/24/18, God intervened with different plans. After much heartfelt deliberation, because of many unforeseen circumstances and life changes, the wedding was postponed and the search for the new, perfect date ensued! With Melissa's odd discontent with odd numbers and both knowing it had to be Spring or Fall; Texas isn't the best in summer for a 3 piece suit, the search was on. Zach voiced he would be more than happy to share his birth month with the love of his life and Melissa loves the number 12. With many out of town guests coming, a Friday night seemed just as perfect as a Saturday... And so, 4/12 was chosen as the new, perfect date. ❤
