I was planning a surprise baby shower for my friend and had asked for a guest list. I was reaching out via Facebook messenger to collect addresses. Low and behold, I came across Adolphus’ page. I remember thinking "he is so handsome" so naturally, I asked my friend what his status was and after some investigation discovered that he was in fact, single. Next I did something totally out of my character, I took a leap and sent him my number and to my surprise he responded shortly after. Over the next three months, we spent time texting, talking and getting to know each other. After a little over 8 years, thousands of miles traveled, countries visited and life’s milestones I am thankful to finally take that next step with him and becoming one.

The day started off like a normal Friday, but little did Zamyra know her life would be changed forever! She had to work a 1/2 day at work, and I used this time to get a formal in person blessing from her parents who were still in town from Christmas. After she got off work, we went to the barber shop (so I'd look good ;)), then spent the day at the outlet mall. Later on we took her parents out to dinner at Kabuki where we enjoyed sushi & drinks. I told Zamyra we should go outside to take some pictures since they had the lights and fountains going, and it'd make for some nice pictures. We took pictures, made wishes, then I pretended like I was taking out my phone to take some pictures on mine, but really I pulled out the ring! She cried Viola Davis tears & said yes, & now the rest is history!
