Emily and Nick met on Hinge! Nick saw that Emily was an AMC A-lister on her profile and thought he would get along with another cinephile. They first met on an unseasonably warm night in April. (Their wedding date will be four years and three days since they met!) Nick chose a dog-friendly gastropub in North Hollywood called The Fat Dog since he knew of Emily's affinity for pups. While chatting over cocktails and rainbow fries (Emily was famously so nervous, she only ate three), Nick sealed his opportunity for a second date when he revealed that he is a Taylor Swift fan. She was impressed with his choice of a favorite song: Ivy. They fell in love over trying new restaurants, seeing movies at AMC, playing board games, and taking weekend trips along the California coast. On Valentine's Day 2025, Nick took Emily to San Diego, the same place where they said "I love you" nearly three years earlier, and proposed on the beach. She enthusiastically said yes- and they spent the weekend celebrating by taking a romantic gondola ride, walking around Coronado Island, and eating at their favorite restaurant, Callie. The couple is very excited to spend the rest of their lives together, living in Los Angeles with their new dog, a rambunctious Schipperke mix named Ivy.
