In 2022, Zald works as a Municipal Health Officer (MHO) of Tiaong, Quezon while K-ann just started her Public Health Doctor journey in the Province. As part of establishing strong connection between MHOs, she was added to a formal chat group (Facebook messenger), when Zald noticed her, being a new member, and tried, out of curiosity, checking and stalking her Facebook account. He begun telling his former health staff about the new beautiful doctor of Unisan, Quezon. But it eventually stopped there. Nothing ever existed but genuine appreciation. Fast forward to February 2023. All MHOs along with selected health staff were invited for a 3-day seminar about a LUNG medical condition. During the Day 1, Zald noticed K-ann seating on one table with his former staff. The latter told Zald that K-ann is very beautiful, they've exchanged messages and that “bagay kayo bossing” lit up the entire conversation. Zald said “ipakilala nyo ako sa kanya bukas” after knowing that K-ann was single, to which the former work-mates sealed the deal. At the end of the Day 2 seminar, promises were broken - nothing happened. Zald was too shy to handle the deal. He cannot even look at the table where K-ann was seated. His former staff seemed disappointed at the same time hoping that their former boss will step up the game of love. On the last day, Zald attempted to leave the hall after the seminar, but his former workmates insisted and everyone in the hall attentively looked at Zald as they called him loudly. His coyness dropped and his courage built up. Zald slowly approached the round table that was full of people, including K-ann. As his emotions tightened and vision clearly widened, Zald selectively looked at a single beautiful girl, as if no one is around except K-ann. Zald approached K-ann, both eventually shook hands. He eventually felt the connection, which sparked at the surface of his palms right to his fingertips, but at the same time full of uncertainties. Zald politely asked K-ann's number to which she gave the digits out of genuine respect. Everyone in the table was just smiling and too excited, like watching a first episode of a series of love story. Zald and K-ann never knew that it's going to be the start of what everyone in the hall sees as "perfectly fit" of something dramatic and magical. Since then, Zald and K-ann go out on dates, ordering their go-to meals and drinks in restaurants, malls and coffee shops; go on nature trips and beach hikes, driving long hours while taking their favorite snacks and coffee; having deep conversations, genuine assurances and building life plans together, and thanking God each day for bringing two lives together while caring for others as public health doctors. We are close to writing a new chapter of our HEART story, and we are excited to begin this new journey together and celebrate our every success and His blessed gifts along with our family, friends and loved ones.
