If you’re wondering what happened to the web code that was originally on our website, hotel rates have dropped significantly and are now even lower than what the code originally offered. There’s no longer a need to book using a specific code for the wedding! By RSVP’ing “yes,” you are included in our final headcount for the wedding, and there is no room block reserved.
As Secrets Playa Blanca is an adults-only resort, we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you can join us on our special day!
We won’t be using a registry/asking for gifts, hosting a bridal shower, or planning additional events. Our wedding weekend will be the only celebration! We know a destination wedding is an investment, and having the people we love there with us is truly the greatest gift.
I found the resort to be incredibly accommodating. Every menu clearly lists common allergens—like dairy, gluten, and nuts—as well as options for vegan and vegetarian diets next to each food option. Even the buffet signs included allergy information. We were also asked about food allergies at every restaurant, pool, and bar, which made dining feel safe and stress-free.
Weather permitting, our ceremony and reception will be held outdoors
In Mexico, hurricane season runs from May to November. When we visited the resort in July 2025, we only had about 10 minutes of rain on our first night—otherwise, it was clear skies the entire trip. While September is technically considered part of “prime hurricane season,” we spoke with about 10 different resort staff members and wedding coordinators, and they all shared that September tends to be warm with minimal rain. It’s cooler than July, but not as rainy as October or November. Of course, weather is unpredictable, but no matter what it brings, we’re looking forward to making memories together.
