Darius and I became a couple shortly after we met. It was close to Thanksgiving. Our church planned a friend’s giving and on that day I noticed Darius seeming very nervous because, unknown to me, he was going to ask if I would like to be his girlfriend. We texted each other all throughout that day, but he never said a word about it. Later that day, we eventually met up, and I was so excited to see him. Because his nervesness had gotten the best of him, he didn’t really interact with me that much lol. As the time passed by, we played games and ate, then the moment had arrived when he asked if he could talk to me. Durning the entire event I was fine, then immediately I got very nervous, but very excited at the same time because I had a feeling it was going to happen. To start off, he told me that he had been fasting and praying constantly to really make sure that he had heard from the Lord, telling him that I am the one the Lord sent his way. As time passed, the Lord had confirmed it and continued to give him a yes. That was the day that he mustered up the courage to ask me to be his girlfriend. I said “ABSOLUTELY , it’s about time😂.” From that moment until now, we’ve been growing in Christ together. It’s been an amazing experience. We’ve had our moments, some ups and some downs, but with Christ, anything is possible. Now we are getting married!! We can never be any more grateful to the Lord for blessing us with the person of our dreams! He asked! I said yes! But the Lord said yes First!
