What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests may arrive as early as 6:00pm to prepare for the Nikah Ceremony starting promptly at 6:30pm sharp.

Are children allowed?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.

Are plus ones allowed?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to the limited seating and capacity at the venue plus ones are not allowed.

How do I submit my RSVP?

Answer

Please type your full first and last name to submit your RSVP. If you still cannot find your name, please contact our planning team at contact@marriageandmimosas.com for further assistance.

What is the dress code?

Answer

This is a adults-only, black tie preferred or eastern formal affair. For men, tuxedos are strongly encouraged or a black/dark colored suits with dark colored ties are acceptable alternatives. For women, please be mindful to not wear white or silver on any of the nights.

Is photography allowed during the nikkah ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that you do NOT take photos with your smartphone during the event. We want all of our guest to enjoy in the moment along with us. We will have professional photography and videography to capture the ceremony.

Does the venue have parking?

Answer

The Larz Anderson House does not have on site parking and minimal surrounding street parking. For those choosing to drive, the Royal Sonesta (directly behind the venue) offers valet at the rate of $54 for over night parking and day parking at $21.

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes, on Travel tab above you'll see the link provided for a discounted rate at The Royal Sonesta DC. Rooms are available from the 16th to 20th (Thursday-Monday). Are there other hotel options?

Answer

Yes, there are plenty of hotels in the DC area. The venue is very central to DC, so feel free to book other preferred hotels at your convenience. We have provided a block at The Royal Sonesta for our out-of-town friends and family to make it easier for those looking to stay closer to the venue during their travels.

Covid-19 considerations

Answer

We would appreciate that guests test negatively for Covid-19 prior to attending the event. We want to keep all our family and friends healthy and safe throughout the weekend to enjoy the celebration worry-free!
