Join Zak for the Baraat—a lively procession where the groom makes his big debut. Accompanied by his family and friends, the Baraat is a celebration filled with music, drumming, and plenty of dancing! It’s an Indian tradition of kick-starting the wedding festivities - bring your energy and best moves as we dance our way to the wedding ceremony (madhuve). Traditionally, the brides side will be waiting to welcome the groom and his guests - feel free to join in the dancing or watch from the top of the hill with Apoorva's family and cheer them on whilst Zak arrives at the wedding! Dress Code: Bright, Summery and Colourful! South Indian attire encouraged. Meeting point: Entrance Gates of Borgo Il Castagno

Lingayaat Marriage Ceremony
A Lingayaat marriage ceremony is commonly referred to as a "Madhuve". This ceremony includes unique rituals and customs that reflect the beliefs and traditions of the Lingayaat community, which is primarily found in Karnataka and parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Key elements of the ceremony include the exchange of garlands, the tying of the mangalsutra (a sacred necklace), and various prayers and rituals performed by the priest.
