Muir Woods National Monument
Muir Woods is one of our favorite places to hike in the bay area. It is also the home to some of the largest trees in the world (Redwoods) shown in the image above. Stinson Beach, another must see destination, is only a few miles hike the trail that starts in Muir Woods. You could hike there in about half a day.
Stinson Beach
This is a great beach just north of San Francisco. We recommend hiking to it from Muir Woods if you have the time. It takes about half a day. Stinson Beach part of a small town as well so you can get food, desert, coffee, etc after a long day of hiking!
Napa Valley
Napa is less than a 45 minute drive from the Wedding Venue and a world famous location known for its vineyards. Whether you want to go wine tasting here, check out some of the many Michelin Star restaurants, or go to the outlets, there's plenty of fun stuff to do here!
San Francisco
San Francisco is packed full of fun stuff to do. Some of our favorites include: 1) Lands End - Great hiking trail 2) Golden Gate Park 3) The Golden Gate Bridge 4) Fisherman's Wharf - Good sea food, shops and activities for the whole family 5) SF MOMA - The Art Museum 6) Mitchell's - If you want the best ice cream ever 7) Mama's - Incredible brunch make sure to show up 30 minutes before it opens if you don't want to wait in a massive line 8) Sweet Maple - Another great brunch place 9) The Ferry Building - Catch a ferry anywhere in the bay (including to Vallejo which is right next to the Wedding Venue -This could be a fun day trip) 10) Seven Hills -The best Italian dinner you've ever had. Make sure to make a reservation a few months in advance or it might fill up!
Benicia Water Front
Benicia is a beautiful little town on the water. There are great places to eat, fun shopping and sights to see all over the town and downtown is just minutes drive from the wedding venue! Sausalito
Sausalito is a beautiful little town just North of San Francisco. Great food and views. Best part is you can take a ferry ride directly from the city to the Island!
