Charleston only has ONE Airport! We recommend flying into CHS International to ensure you have a smooth travel day(s). CHS airport has flights coming and going daily with a specific United Airlines Hub. United is one of the only airlines that frequently offers direct flights from other major cities.
Travel Note
There are several great options to help you get from the Airport and Around Charleston: 🚕 Rideshare – Hop in a Uber/Lyft right outside baggage claim for a quick ~20 minute ride straight into downtown. This is one of the most direct and comfortable ways to arrive. 🚌 Public Bus – For a budget-friendly choice, the local CARTA bus service runs from the airport to the city center. It’s affordable (about a couple of dollars) and takes a bit longer, perfect if you’re traveling light and want a scenic introduction to Charleston. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time! 🚐 Shuttles & Private Transfers – If you prefer a shared ride or booked transfer, there are several shuttle and town-car services that can take you downtown or directly to your hotel in comfort. Options like Tito Limo, Charleston Historic Tours & Transportation, Coastal Connection, GCT Chauffeured Services, or Charleston Peninsula Transportation can be booked in advance. 🚗 Rental Cars – If you’re planning to explore beyond downtown, several major rental companies are conveniently located onsite near the terminal. No matter how you arrive, Charleston’s charm is waiting just minutes away! 💛
