Chandler and I weren’t your typical “highschool sweethearts” as we didn’t have a label of boyfriend and girlfriend, but we were each others best friends and would hang out with each other almost every day! We had done everything with each other and Chandler was always my chauffeur wherever we went lol. From going to parties together, boat trips, Chandler asking me to go wash his car with him lol, birthdays, holidays, late night food runs, or times we’d just hang out in a parking lot to have deep conversations about life or laughing till our belly’s hurt. Chandler and I grew up in California together and Chandler’s family decided to move to Tennessee after highschool as his older brother was in the military. We’d FaceTime 24/7 when he moved and Chandler would make his visits back to California to hang out. Chandler and I decided to try long distance (which I hated) because I only got to see him once a month when I used to see him EVERYDAY! We both made visits to each other where I’d go to Tennessee, then Chandler would come to Cali and vice versa. I had made the decision to move to Tennessee as I couldn’t do this long distance thing anymore and neither could Chandler lol. With all the love, support, sacrifices our families had made along with having God in the center of our relationship, we were able to pack up all my things and Chandler and I drove 32 hours to Tennessee. We’d been living with each other for about a year when we had made a trip to California and we went to a fancy dinner with our entire family when Chandler had proposed to me as we were taking “pictures” with each other but really everyone was just recording. Definitely the best day of my life and I couldn’t be happier / more blessed to have my best friend by my side and to grow old with :)
