Our Journey

"This is at last bone of my bones"

According to Facebook, we've been friends for years. However, the real start to our journey began much later. It all began at the Conyers Assembly Hall on Saturday, February 11, 2018. Naomi had only been back in the country for about two weeks from her time abroad serving in Bluefields, Nicaragua and decided to attend her mom's circuit assembly with her mom's new congregation and DeAndre was attending his regularly scheduled circuit assembly after transitioning to his new congregation. After the assembly, Naomi noticed DeAndre from afar with a vacuum pack strapped to his back and thought... "Wow, it is really nice to see someone his age reaching out to clean after the assembly." That being the only thought at the time, Naomi proceeded to walk away as DeAndre continued to clean. Some moments later, Naomi's mom decided to introduce Naomi to some of the friends in her new congregation and guess who was one of the first that she met? DeAndre. Naomi's first thought, "It's the brother who had the vacuum pack on!" and her second thought, "I think I may have just met the love of my life." DeAndre's first thought, "Oh I remember her!" (Years ago, DeAndre remembered seeing Naomi at a gathering) and DeAndre's second thought, "Wow, she's attractive." After leaving the Assembly Hall that day with no way to contact one another, Naomi got in the car and said a silent prayer to Jehovah asking Him that if it was in accordance with His Will to let them meet again when the time was right. Three months later, Naomi decided to attend her mom's meeting and who does she see behind the literature counter? DeAndre. At that moment she knew, that was Jehovah's answer to her prayer. And they've both continued to be an answer to their prayers ever since. We both believe that Jehovah brought us into each other's lives and still wholeheartedly believe that He has kept us together through it all. All glory and praise goes to our loving Heavenly Father Jehovah for giving us the gift of each other.

For all the days along the way
