Zack and Kaitlyn’s love story began in the fall of 2020 during their first year at Mississippi State University. What started as a simple setup by mutual friends for a Lambda Chi Alpha date party quickly turned into something unforgettable. Zack took Kaitlyn out for ice cream at The Churn and Spoon, and the two ended up spending the entire night driving around Starkville, laughing, talking, and getting to know each other. Just a few days later, Zack asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend — and from that moment on, they were inseparable. From SEC football games and sunny vacations to Greek date parties and late-night study sessions, college was filled with beautiful memories side by side.

As the final seconds of 2024 ticked away, Zack and Kaitlyn stood hand in hand at the Zac Brown Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Party inside Atlanta’s State Farm Arena. The night had already started off full of excitement—they even kicked it off with a special pre-show champagne toast alongside Zac Brown himself. Surrounded by music, laughter, and celebration, Zack dropped to one knee just as the clock struck midnight. With fireworks bursting and cheers echoing around them, he asked her to spend forever with him—and she said yes! It was a night they’ll never forget. Zack pulled off the ultimate surprise, and the magic didn’t end there—they celebrated the rest of the night side stage and even received personal congratulations from Zac Brown himself.
