FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests wear cocktail attire for our celebration. Think stylish and dressy, a great excuse to wear something special! Cocktail dresses, elegant jumpsuits, suits with ties, or trousers paired with a dress shirt and blazer are all perfect choices. Our color palette is blush, tan, cream, sage green, and espresso — we'd love if you leaned into those tones, but it's not required. Please avoid entirely white, ivory, or cream attire. Also please note that the venue does not permit blue jeans or sneakers. As the ceremony will be held outdoors, wedges or flats may be a practical choice for women when walking on grass.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we're only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will say "and guest." We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Will parking be available?

Answer

Yes, plenty of complimentary parking is available in the main lot. On the rare occasion space becomes limited, the city of Kernersville provides free parking across the gardens as well as walking distance near downtown.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We're registered through Zola. Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift, but if you'd like to give something, links to our registries are on our Registry page. We also have a honeymoon fund for those who prefer to contribute to experiences.

Question

Is it an unplugged ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we kindly ask that you put phones and cameras away during the ceremony so you can be fully present with us. Our photographer will capture everything beautifully. Feel free to snap away during the cocktail hour and reception!

Question

When and where is the ceremony? When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens, 215 S Main St, Kernersville, NC 27284. Please plan to arrive by 4 PM so you can find your seat before we begin.

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Yes! Following the ceremony there will be a cocktail hour from 4:30 – 5:30 PM on the garden lawn and patio. Light appetizers and drinks will be served. This is a great time to mingle and take photos before dinner.
