FAQs

Question

Where is the wedding?

Answer

Weather permitting, we will be getting married in an outdoor ceremony in the woods on the property. Please plan your outfits accordingly! There will be uneven ground to traverse and we recommend leaving the stilettos at home unless you're an expert!

Question

Where should I stay? What if I don't have a car?

Answer

We will have a shuttle service making stops in Tannersville and Hunter on the day of our wedding. If you won't have a car of your own (or don't want to drive after partying), we recommend staying in Tannersville or Hunter to take advantage of the shuttle!

Question

Are my children invited to the wedding?

Answer

Although we love your kids, we will be having an adults-only ceremony and reception. Children are invited to attend the welcome dinner, though please let us know if they will so we can cater accordingly.

Question

Help! I don't own any Indian clothing! Where do I buy some? What do I wear?

Answer

We recommend wearing formal Indian wear to the ceremony and reception. For men, this would include a kurta and pants, indowestern suit, or sherwani. For women, this can include a saree (not recommended unless you do not plan on dancing or have worn sarees before), lehenga, anarkali, or similar. The bride requests that women do not wear white or red, and men should not wear white or off-white. If you wish to order your clothing online, we recommend websites such as Samyakk, Kalki, Utsav, Manyavar, or Indya. You should make sure that your clothing will come stitched (there are usually options for sending in your measurements to have a blouse and skirt stitched). We recommend referencing our friends Umang and Lara's wedding website (https://www.laraandumang.com/style) for more details regarding Indian attire! Make sure you order early! These items can take a month or two to arrive. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Priya at 4402126374!
