A Night to Remember 🤍

Zack and I met back in 2016... We were at the college homecoming party. We did not know each other at the time but shared mutual friends. I went upstairs once the party ended and Zack was awake watching TV. I sat on the couch across the room from him, interested in what he was watching. Zack started to tell me about the show. Before we knew it, we were talking about everything and anything until the sun rose. It felt as if I had known Zack my entire life. I have never connected with anyone the way I connected with him. Little did I know Zack felt the same way; shortly after Zack returned home from the party, the first person he talked to about me was his mother. He told his mother he believed he met his soulmate and that I would marry him one day. Fast forward to now, and you would think after just meeting someone once that dreams eventually do come true. Zack and I stayed in touch off and on. Zack was the best friend anyone could ask for. I always went to him for advice; he has always been patient and kind. Zack wanted to tell me he was madly in love with me several times but always got shy. Fast forward to 2019. I got my first apartment, and it was my first year spending the holidays alone. Zack invited me over for Thanksgiving. I was incredibly nervous to meet the rest of his family. I have met his mother before. I always wondered, Gosh, why is this lady always smiling at me? Is there something I should know? By the end of Thanksgiving dinner, Zack had given me a long letter he wrote to himself while working about how much he loved me, which he held onto for years, not knowing when the timing would be right. In December 2019, Zack and I started dating. On our first Valentine’s Day in 2020, Zack gave me a promise ring and promised to marry me and always cherish me. Zack and I love to travel and hope to travel the world soon. We also got a cute kitten named Athena. We worked hard to finish college. We eventually graduated in the spring of 2023. We are currently in the process of finding a home to raise our family once we are married. We are so excited! Zack tried his hardest to make our proposal unique and special, but I was too smart for my own good. Zack wanted to pretend to be a patient at my work. Once I figured that out, he reached out to the Target Center, hoping they would put us on the jumbotron during our first Timberwolves game together; unfortunately, he was turned down. On March 23rd, 2024, his mother thought attending the spring flower event at the Como Zoo Conservatory would be a good idea. A proposal did not cross my mind because we always do things together as a family, but they surprised me good that day. We are truly blessed by God, and joined by love
