Question

How "outdoors" is outdoors for the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will be completely uncovered in a natural wildflower preserve. The reception will be under a Pavilion and a tent. Zack and Marissa are both extreme nature lovers and wanted to celebrate our union in a place that reflects that love! We hope you enjoy the beauty of the venue as much as we do!

So if it's outdoors, what will happen if it rains?

Answer

The ceremony will be moved to under the pavilion. The pavilion is right next to the parking lot, so you will know immediately if the ceremony has been moved underneath. If the weather holds, we will get married under the trees next to the pavilion.

What should I wear?

Answer

We're getting married in nature, so please dress appropriately! You may want to rethink heels unless you are okay with aerating the soil. In terms of outfit, go with what's comfy, but what you know you look good in! Khakis and a button-down are fine, as are summer dresses. There's a chance that it'll be warm, so we can understand not wanting to wear a suit or formal dress.

I'm not able to walk very far, how will I get around?

Answer

Bowman's Hill staff are gracious enough to be running a golf cart back and forth from the parking lot to the pavilion and ceremony location. Attendants will be more than happy to help you to your seat!

Question

I have some dietary preferences. Will I be able to eat?

Answer

Absolutely! Our caterer is accomodating, so please make a note of it on your RSVP so that we can let him know. He is more than willing to help us out with allergies/intolerances/etc... We will have a chicken, fish, and pasta (veggie-friendly) option during the buffet. There will be chocolate and Non-chocolate desserts.

I'm a nature lover like you! What might be in bloom that I can see during the cocktail hour?

Answer

Orange butterfly weed, Joe-Pye weed, Swamp Milkweed, Cardinal Flower, False Sunflower, Hoary Mountain Mint, Monkey flower, New York Ironweed, Sweet Pepperbush, 3-Leaved Coneflower, Wild Bergamot, Wild Senna and more!

How did you two meet?

Answer

Zack and Marissa met at Delaware Valley University during an awkward freshman orientation game and couldn't get away from each other after that! They lived in the same dorm building freshman year and both played saxophone in the jazz band. After being best friends for a year and a half, a trip to the hospital for Marissa was all it took for Zack to realize how much he actually cared about her. They have laughed their way through five adventure-filled years and are thrilled to spend the rest of their goofy lives together.
