Our story technically starts all the way back in middle school — when Lynsey was in 8th grade and Zack was a cool (and very cute) 9th grader. Lynsey had a major crush and hoped they'd eventually talk... maybe even date! And they did talk for a while — but then Zack did what all 9th grade heartthrobs inevitably do... he ghosted her. (Don’t worry, he’s been making up for it ever since.) Fast forward a few years to Thanksgiving night in 2018. Zack was a senior, Lynsey was a junior, and fate (plus a couple of fun drinks and the encouragement of our now officiant) gave Zack the courage to call Lynsey out of the blue and insist she come hang out. Lynsey was hesitant — unsure if she should get her hopes up — so she called her mom for advice. Her mom gave the best advice ever: "Just go. You might regret it if you don’t." Spoiler alert: she would’ve. That night, they met up in town and went back to the house where everyone was hanging out. They watched The Greatest Showman and Zack serenaded Lynsey with every single word. They laughed nonstop, and something just clicked. On the way back to Lynsey’s house, Zack kept saying how he didn’t want to mess things up. He opened her car door, walked her to the front door, and said goodnight like a true gentleman. The second Lynsey walked inside, she looked at her mom and said, “He’s the one.” They’ve been inseparable ever since. From high school sweethearts to going to the same college together to now building a life together in Fort Smith — they’re so excited for what’s next… and can’t wait to celebrate with all of you as they officially begin their forever.
