We met in 2018 while working together at The Bread Peddler in Olympia, Washington. We developed a friendship as coworkers but would not conceive of each other as romantic possibilities until years later when we found each other on Tinder during the COVID. After our first date on June 18th 2020 we were both excited and smitten. From the beginning we both could feel that this connection had the potential to be something bigger, but because we found each other during the pandemic, we cautiously waited a full two weeks to even hold hands. We both feel that it was a sort of silver lining, allowing us to focus on our emotional connection and to truly court one another. We got to know each other on a deeper level and realized that we had many similar goals and aspirations and that we valued the same things in a relationship. We could share hopes and fears and insecurities and joys. Also we could laugh until we cried and talk in silly voices and fart in front of each other. Almost immediately, we were inseparable. We went on adventures all around Washington and Oregon, camping and biking, swimming in lakes and rivers, and exploring wonderful places like Astoria, where we have spend many a wonderful weekend day. Within a year we had found a small house in Olympia and gleefully moved in together. Our love would continue to grow and our connection deepen and on November 28th 2021 Zack proposed to Julia while on vacation in Florida with Zack's family. We married in the Olympia courthouse on June 18 2022, the second anniversary of our first date, and will have our wedding with you all on July 1 2023. We cannot wait to share our love with you.
