For a few days we had been talking about going to find wild mistletoe to get in the Christmas spirit, so we went to one of our favorite hiking spots (the Sassafras Natural Resourse Management Area) with Zaney in search of some. When we got to the River, it was perfectly still and quiet. We decided to take a holiday picture and Zack set up his phone, saying it was on a timer when it was really recording. After “taking a photo” we were taking in the beauty of the River, when Zack popped the question ❤️ Zack and Zaney had already scoped out the perfect spot and figured out where to set up the phone earlier in the week. Then, in typical 2020 fashion, after getting home we spent the next 8 hours FaceTiming and Zooming our family - but at least we had champagne 🍾 Never wound up finding any mistletoe though! Zack designed the ring with Do Amore, because a portion of the cost of the ring will go to giving a community clean drinking water. Our love of the Chesapeake Bay and clean waterways brought us together and it’s nice to know that this ring will help a community gain access to clean water. Not a bad way to end 2020!!
