I would just like to share how excited we are to share our testimony with you guys and celebrate our marriage! None of this would be possible without God & our amazing community of family & friends! It took being uncomfortable, walking into the unknown, waiting on God's perfect timing, and submitting all our desire to God in order to clearly see his will for us.

Zack: I first met Emma at a mutual friend's bonfire (thanks Benj!). She arrived fashionably late during volleyball and I noticed her immediately. As the night went on I couldn't help but notice the joy she radiated in any conversation she had. Later that evening we finally chatted and I knew I needed to get to know her, so I strategically sat close enough to be able to hop into a conversation at any point. Emma: Bethany, my maid of honor, invited me to her boyfriend Benj's bonfire, and I'm so grateful that she did! I don’t remember much besides playing volleyball, jumping on the trampoline & having fruitful conversations by the fire, but little did I know that Zack had his eye on me. Zack: On the drive home I could not stop thinking about her. I messaged her on Instagram the next morning and she promptly didn't reply - at all - for weeks. I quickly came to realize that this is out of my hands and prayed that if it is in God's will for something to happen between us then he will make it happen. After a few weeks of trying to convince myself that she just doesn't use Instagram I finally gave it to God and was at peace with moving on. Emma: The next day, I received a message on Instagram from him, and I was taken aback, so I chose to ignore him. However, I did ask Bethany what she knew about him, and she mentioned that he attends Vintage and Benj speaks highly of him. She added, "He volunteers at the Chapel and has a lot of hobbies." Zack: I got invited to a Halloween party by Benj and quickly realized I had a potential opportunity to see her again. This time I arrived late and as soon as I walked in I saw a pretty little scarecrow sitting in the big circle. The game they were playing was called "4 on a couch" which involved lots of moving around. We inevitably sat next to each other a few times and we caught up in between jumping around to different seats. As the night was coming to a close I knew I had to ask for her number because I didn't want to wait for the next Benj Party™ to see her again. But she did the ole Irish goodbye before I was able to do so. Due to Instagram's failure to yield a response I turned to Facebook messenger and asked her out to coffee downtown. After 4 hours of agony I finally received a response. We had a date! Emma: Two months passed and Bethany invited me to a Halloween party at Matt’s house with the same group of friends from the bonfire. It wasn't until he walked in that I became intrigued about who he was. The next day Zack messaged me on messenger and asked me out on a DATE! I immediately called Bethany to talk and pray about it. I was worried that I wasn't ready and needed more time to grow in my faith. She responded with “What if you guys can grow together” I’m so blessed she shared such profound wisdom with me. Zack: Since then it's been nothing short of spectacular to see God start to align our desires, interests, friends and lives. Emma: We have spent the last six months meeting each other's families and friends and watching God answer prayers. Zack has exceeded all I had dreamed of for my future husband. For those of you who know him, you can testify that he is truly remarkable. God has created such an incredible man to be my husband. Now I can list all the reasons why but I'll leave that part for the vows. Let’s just say I have never experienced such an unwavering amount of love and clarity in such a short amount of time.
