Zack first saw Cristina at an Engineers Without Borders meeting. Zack asked his friend for the name of the "cute girl" who just signed up to be a Spanish translator. Little did he know, Cristina and her group of girlfriends - now bridesmaids - would show up at a Kappa Alpha party on the hill a few days later. After just one conversation in the KA party room, they were smitten!
The snow was falling softly, Cristina was falling not-so-softly down the mountain on her snowboard... But to Zack, she was every bit as beautiful and elegant as the day he met her. In the Gondola with his siblings seated around, he got down on one knee and asked Cristina to be his wife. She said YES! DeScisciolos and Pellis were waiting at the base of the mountain to celebrate with champagne and hot cocoa.
Yep, we tied the knot last summer! We just couldn't postpone the actual marriage - we'd been ready to take this step for too long! As difficult as it was during coronatimes, we knew it was the right decision. We were blessed to be able to get married in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (as planned) and then celebrate with our immediate families at the iconic Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI. Though we missed hugging, dancing, and clinking glasses with our family and friends, we knew we'd postpone all the fun to a time when it was safer for everyone!
Married life has begun in the coziest little brownstone in South Philadelphia. Though we didn't get our honeymoon to Italy this year, its safe to say we've made out just fine living a few steps away from Philly's Italian Market - not to mention, biking distance from some of our closest friends. No doubt we'll live HapPelliEverAfter...
