Rainey Street Historic District
Renovated historic houses turned into bungalow bars - excellent patios to enjoy the gorgeous weather with a daytime cocktail! We recommend Lustre Pearl, Icenhauers and Banger's.
Texas Capitol
The three-story Sunset Red Texas Granite structure is the largest capitol building in the United States, standing 14 feet higher than the U.S. Capitol building. A beautiful place to walk around, inside and out!
Barton Creek Greenbelt
Our favorite place to get out for a hike, easily accessible from downtown! The Greenbelt is a 7.25-mile stretch of public land that begins at Zilker Park and stretches South/Southwest to the final section commonly referred to as "The Hill of Life."
LBJ Presidential Library
The presidential library and museum of Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th President of the United States. A lover of 60's culture and memorabilia, Casey has been here an embarrassing number of times.
The University of Texas at Austin
Hook 'em Horns! A top recommendation for obvious reasons. Take a stroll through the 431-acre urban oasis in the heart of Austin.

The Mighty Cone at Zilker
There are A LOT of incredible food trucks in Austin, but this one is our favorite. Spicy, fried meats & veggies in tortilla cones. So good!
Mount Bonnell
A popular tourist destination since the 1850s. The mount provides a vista for viewing the city of Austin, Lake Austin, and the surrounding hills. A great, easy hike.

Barbeque is a way of life in Austin - so many good options! Micklethwait's scratch-focused barbecue trailer serves up creative house-made sausages, the usual meats like brisket and pulled lamb, and great sides.
