[SCENE: CHARLESTON LIVING ROOMS] BLAIR (V.O.) It was the summer of 2023. Picture this: Two hopelessly romantic souls, glued to their phones, swiping on Bumble (because, let's be real, that's how it's done these days). [MONTAGE] Blair, swiping left over & over again, sighing dramatically, then finally swipes right. Zack, back on the dating app scene, swipes right on THE ONE. Bumble notification chimes with a triumphant fanfare. BLAIR (V.O.) Zack was smitten with a selfie where a filter may or may not have enhanced the twinkle in my eye. I, on the other hand, was drawn to the muscular shirtless man holding a tropical fish on a boat, the stuff of dreams. Our first conversation? Concerts. Foreshadowing a lifetime of bad singing, questionable dance moves, and seeing many shows together across the country. [INT. MELFI'S RESTAURANT - NIGHT] BLAIR (V.O.) Our first date was at Melfi's. (Spoiler alert: It became our spot. Anniversaries, the engagement, you name it.) Over plates of pasta, pizza, and me spilling my glass of water all over our table, we discovered a shared love for inside jokes and, well, let's just say "tiny hands" became a recurring theme. [MONTAGE] Blair and Zack dancing at a concert. Blair attempting (and failing) to out-drive Zack on the golf course. Beach shenanigans at Seabrook and Myrtle. Sun-kissed adventures in Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, & Mexico. And Blair, a die-hard Buckeye fan, bravely venturing into SEC territory for love. (Go Cocks!) [INT. SAILBOAT - DAY] BLAIR (V.O.) Fast forward to November 14th, 2024. Zack asks me to be ready at 2:30pm on a Thursday to meet up with some work colleagues at Salty Mike's dive bar at the marina. Suspicious, I just so happened to put on a nautically themed outfit and get my nails done that morning (just in case ;) When we arrive Zack leads me down the dock to a beautiful 50' sailboat where he pops the question in Charleston Harbor beneath the Ravenel Bridge. Cue the tears, the cheers, and the "tiny hands" reaching for the ring. "Yes!" I shout enthusiastically as he puts the ring on my finger.
