Airport Transportation

Telluride Express and numerous other companies provide shuttle services between Telluride and the three regional airports in Western Colorado: Montrose-Telluride Airport (MTJ), Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT) and Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO). Reservations with Telluride Express can be made online or by phone. A 10% discount is available at the time of reservation only. Transportation in Telluride

Telluride is one of the most pedestrian-friendly resort towns in the United States. With options such as the free Gondola, Dial-A-Ride/Telluride Concierge and the Galloping Goose bus service, you don't need a rental car to get around easily in Telluride. Parking can be challenging and inconvenient - especially in the winter months. If you choose to bring a car, further information is provided at the link below.

Where should I stay?

Downtown Telluride or Mountain Village If you are attending the wedding only and do not plan to participate in skiing/snowboarding, it may be more convenient for you to stay in the town of Telluride. If you plan on skiing/snowboarding, you may enjoy the Mountain Village side more. We plan to stay in town for the beginning of the trip and move to Mountain Village after the wedding. Regardless, Telluride is small and we will all be able to access each other and the mountain pretty easily.

This is a great resource for lodging. Check out the properties online at their website. They have properties in town and on the mountain. They range from very basic hotels/condos/homes to luxury hotels/condos/homes. It can be a little overwhelming. Located in the town - this is right next door to the Sheridan Opera House (where the reception will take place). It is a nice, lively hotel in the middle of downtown Telluride - is often seen in pictures of the town of Telluride. Unfortunately, they do not offer any discounts but you might check their Packages & Deals page.

We are awaiting a call from the Hotel Telluride in regards to a discount but we love this place! Also, located in the town -having previously stayed here, we highly recommend it --- great hospitality, courtesy shuttle, and FREE warm chocolate chip cookies in the lobby at the end of the day! Also, pets are welcome! FYI: Many properties in Telluride allow pets as it is an extremely pet friendly town!
