Karly and Zack’s love story began in the most modern of ways-- on a dating app called Hinge. It all started with a message from Zack asking if he could take Karly on a date to Suite Shots for a fun outing of low-pressure golf. She agreed, and they met in person on August 7, 2022. It was the perfect first date. Zack impressed Karly right away with his kindness, his sense of humor, and his golfing prowess, of course. Karly managed to hit just enough good shots to warrant a second date. From that day on, Karly and Zack were inseparable. Their connection was immediate and effortless, and they had an uncanny amount of interests and values in common. It wasn’t long before they realized they had found their other half. Zack officially asked Karly to be his girlfriend on October 7, 2022, over a fancy dinner at Maxwells in West Fargo. Throughout their 17 months of dating, Karly and Zack had many adventures and experienced several firsts together. Zack saw his first opera in November of 2022 (in which Karly just happened to be performing). In March of 2023, Karly and Zack attended a performance at the Metropolitan Opera while on a trip with Zack's parents to New York City, something Karly has always wanted to experience. When asked what it was like to have the second opera he'd ever seen be one at the Met, Zack replied, "It was pretty good, almost as good as seeing you perform." It's safe to say Karly has found her ultimate hype man. Karly also owns her first set of adult golf clubs thanks to Zack, and the two of them enjoy hitting the links together whenever they can. Zack asked Karly to marry him on March 1, 2024, in front of Sidestreet Grill & Bar in Downtown Fargo. This location was special because it was the place where Karly met Zack's family for the first time. Zack picked Karly up from rehearsal and said they'd be meeting her parents and brother downtown for dinner. When they got out of the car and walked around the side of the building, Karly noticed that not only was her family inside, but Zack's family was as well. When she turned to ask him what was going on, Zack knelt to the ground and began to propose. Karly isn't totally sure what all was said during the proposal (she seems to have blacked out from excitement), but she's sure it was perfect. Though it feels like Karly and Zack were always meant to find each other, they often look back and are stunned by how a simple "match" has changed their lives. They know that God had a hand in their meeting, and they can't wait to celebrate their wedding day with all of you- the people they love most.
