Our story started when we both decided to try out online dating. We talked for quite a few weeks before deciding to meet up at the Tour de Fat event in Fort Collins. I (Amber) accidentally gave Zack my phone number with one digit off, so he was messaging a gentleman named Steve that day. Whoops. We corrected the error and met for a date a week later at the Mayor (100 beers on tap, and DELICIOUS food). Zack rounded the corner to hear me saying goodbye to my mother on the phone but I called her Joyce. He asked me who Joyce was, and he thought it was funny that I called my mom by her first name (SORRY MOM!). A very strange man persistently invited us to sit at his large table, where he was sitting alone, but we refused as we were on a date. We talked for hours, went and talked more over coffee at a coffee shop, and walked around Old Town Fort Collins until it was 11 hours in to our date. I was surprised that Zack wanted to hike with me the next day. After our hike, we sat on the back of his pickup, and I just knew the Lord had picked him for me. We went on dates and hung out for another handful of weeks before Zack decided to make things official. He did not care for my mom calling him my "friend". Our relationship was made official and now over two years later, we are finally tying the knot!
