When Rachel and I first met, we were both not looking for a "relationship". Rachel had a busy life, job, and aspirations of trying to serve something bigger than herself. As well as a long road of trials, blessings, and uncertainty. I was a traveler for my occupation and found myself in Albany, which was one of my least favorite places that I had lived after college. Not sure what I was doing or what was next. As we like to say now.. God always has a better plan than we can think, see, or ever imagine. I met Rachel on the worship team. She joined only a month or two before me. I was drawn to her ability to serve, sing, and bring a sense of humor and joy into every room she was in. I was a little more reserved on the worship team but her bubbly personality, infectious laugh, and kind heart brought me to a decision after about 6 months to ask her out for coffee. I believe that we do not have to find love. That while following Gods design, our internal compass for passions, healing, fulfillment and His personal transformation made space for love to exist. We have experienced Gods love to shine through us and attract each other. Our testimony is not new, that we were sinners saved by grace, and by the love of Jesus we received enough healing to become a knot of 3. Since our 2 years of dating we have traveled, had in depth conversations, and put time into this relationship. This came with sacrifices, respect, and nights on the phone full of questions and laughter. I see the knot getting stronger, and we are so thankful to begin a chapter of "us".
