Our Story

It all started with one message and one response

Allie and I met on a dating app when I reached out with a nice paragraph complimenting her profile. After messaging back and forth for a weekend she volunteered her phone number and we moved off the app. After a week of texting and a couple phone calls trying to each out-share the other we met for our first date, then our second... and our third. Each date got longer and the talks more serious. After our all day picnic third date in Huffhines Park and realizing we had stopped pursuing anyone but each other, we made it official, and we never looked back. Our life became a whirlwind of meeting friends and family, movie nights, and church groups. It was a wonderful year of connecting together, building community, having fun, and setting our expectations of a life together. -Zachery

God's Planning

Different Worlds, But, the Same God.

God is infinite and sees and knows all. Here’s how He charted a loving course for two people who couldn’t be more different. Allie grew up in Abilene, Texas after being adopted at the age of three by God’s will the youngest addition at the time to the White family. She proceeded to live in the same house till the day she moved out only an hour and a half away to attend Angelo State University to study people. She has always had a heart for lifting the broken and downtrodden among us. Meanwhile I grew up in three houses before five before doing the unbroken record of seven years in the same house. After those years we proceeded to move every year for the next 4 from house to house to Athens, Cyprus, Houston, and landing in Almaty Kazakhstan a day flight away. After three years growing up, I made that day flight transition to come back to Texas A&M University to study Rocket Science. I had traveled near and far and gotten bit by the dream to always push the limit of what the human race is capable of. Still 5 hours away but God knew he had us right where we were supposed to be. After college Allie and I both made our ways to Dallas not knowing what God had planned for us in just a few short years. Allie settled first landing in south Dallas putting her skills to use across many jobs from working with the indigent mental health population to serving the aged living out their golden years. She traveled all over the DFW area serving people while always returning home to her pets Jade and Asher. When I finally landed in Dallas, I started in Plano working a desk job with a small team for two years. I settled my community at church before striking out on the strangest adventure yet…. Adult dating. Allie had almost given up on dating when I got on the dating apps but my threading was not enough to get her loop. Then… God moved. He pushed Allie to a new industry and got her a new job in north Dallas that forced her to work weekends to serve her people well. I never said God’s plan was always comfortable. In spite of some fun co-workers that job took a big toll on Allie, but it put her in Richardson on Sundays. This was the same time I would descend into the city for church only four blocks away finally allowing our circles to overlap on our dating apps. Allie liked my profile first taking a big risk on this almost teenage looking, Jesus loving nerd (I had mostly clean-shaven pictures). However, when I found her profile all I saw was “Jesus”, “nerdy”, and “serious relationship” on hers and that’s all I needed to know. It took nearly a week for Allie to open that app one last time to delete the app when something nudged her finger to check her message one.. last.. time. From different worlds, different glasses, different experiences, different families, and struggles galore God wove a perfect plan together that brought the perfect girl to me. But by the time we met God had brought both of us finally to a place where we could see the other the way He did. He showed us someone that shared our vision for the future and had the same the goals for our lives. ‘Course that’s not the end of the story or the end of God’s hand in our relationship but that’s a whole different chapter I’ll be telling for years to come. 😉 -Zachery Evermon
