SKUNK TRAIN—PUDDING CREEK EXPRESS
Enjoy a scenic 75-minute, 7-mile, round trip along the beautiful Pudding Creek Estuary – home to blue herons, ospreys, egrets, and more. This short trip departs from our Fort Bragg depot, with a brief stop at Glen Blair Junction. It’s a great way to spend the morning or early afternoon.
Stornetta Public Lands
A beautiful, unspoiled area just north of the town of Point Arena. The park offers spectacular views of coastal bluffs, sea arches, the estuary of the Garcia River and sandy beaches and dunes with eight miles of marked paths.
Bowling Ball Beach
The most unusual beach in Mendocino County is Bowling Ball Beach, just about three miles south of Point Arena on Highway One. Before you go, check for low tide because it’s only then that you’ll see the so-called bowling balls.
B Bryan Preserve
A slice of Africa on the Mendocino coast. Located on 110 acres, the preserve features tours by reservation.
