DUE TO CORONA VIRUS, OUR WEDDING HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL TRAVEL IS SAFE AND THE VIRUS IS CONTAINED. HOWEVER, WE HAVE DECIDED TO GET MARRIED ON MAY 16TH IN A PRIVATE CIVIL CEREMONY, WE HOPE EVERYONE CAN STILL CELEBRATE OUR LOVE WITH US AND BE PART OF OUR RELIGIOUS CEREMONY SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE!
Valeria and Zachary met after a service at Redeemer PCA church. The two sat at the same table at the fellowship lunch, where a fun and joyful conversation ensued as they began their friendship that day. Conversations after church, and chance meetings on the campus of Western Carolina University led to a further interest in becoming good friends. Invitations to game nights and movie nights began as Valeria and Zachary realized the joy in spending time together. Soon enough hiking trips, a campout, pick-up volleyball games, frisbee, movie nights, game nights, and hammocking filled the Summer and allowed the two to grow in friendship. God worked His wonders to bring them into each other's lives. Valeria and Zachary outgrew their friendship and developed a desire to know one another more. Zachary revealed his feelings of wanting to begin dating to get to know Valeria better and see if they might be a good fit for marriage one day. She responded with the same desire a couple of weeks later, and the two began dating. A relationship was built that allowed for a close friendship, depth in emotional vulnerability, and a growing love. Their paths for life were concurrent, and their pursuit to live for Christ was reflected in one another's life. All because of God's guiding hand and blessings Vale and Zach began to see marriage as a real possibility. With a yes from her father, and support from family on both sides Zach proposed to Valeria. He chose a cool, clear day in fall stop Whiteside Mountain in Highlands NC on November 26, 2019. He asked her to marry him, she smiled and she said yes, and now the couple looks forward to entering a covenant in marriage and to celebrate with friends and family.
