Question

Wait, you're having your wedding in a boathouse?

Answer

Yes! Well, technically ABOVE the boathouse. We will be utilizing their reception rooms and outdoor patio, which are located on the second floor. Guests should enter from the side gate (not the front door) and proceed up the staircase to the patio. Please follow all signage to ensure you are not entering a restricted area.

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Penn AC Rowing Club on Boathouse Row.

Question

I noticed that there are docks that extend into the river. Can I go out there and take pictures?

Answer

No. The venue was very clear that NO ONE is allowed on to the docks. This is for everyone's safety.

What is the Dress Code?

Answer

While we want everyone to be comfortable at this summer wedding, we do have a dress code. The dress code is Cocktail Attire. For women, this includes items such as cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and/or dress blouses and slacks. For men, this includes items such as polo shirts, short or long sleeve button downs w/ a tie, dress shorts or pants, and dress shoes.

Why can't we park at the venue?

Answer

While the venue does have street parking and a small parking lot, these areas are limited to 2-hour parking and are usually full. You WILL get a ticket if you go over this time limit (trust us, we know). We strongly recommend that take a cab, Uber/Lyft, or public transit to the wedding. If you are dead-set on driving, the closest parking area will be at the Philadelphia Art Museum. That garage is a paid lot, so you will have to pay when entering or leaving.

Will there be alcohol present?

Answer

Yes, we will have various options of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. While we want everyone to enjoy themselves, please be mindful of your alcohol consumption throughout the night.

There is so much cool memorabilia in the reception rooms! Can I touch or hold any of it?

Answer

No. Please do not touch or remove any of the Boathouse's memorabilia in the reception rooms. If you accidentally move or damage any of the memorabilia, please find Trent or Zach immediately.

Is there an afterparty?

Answer

Indeed there is! We will be hosting an afterparty at our home in South Philadelphia. Our address is: 1423 S 20th St Philadelphia, PA 19146 Please ensure you have proper transportation to and from our home if you plan to visit, especially if you are consuming alcohol.
