Zach and Talia met the romantic, old-fashioned way: on Tinder. But it wasn't as easy as a couple of swipes right. Zach and Talia matched in late October of 2021. Not long after, Zach reached out to Talia, asking if the dog on her arm was the puppy in her profile. If you know Talia... you know that it was not the same dog. At all. Not his fault, but Talia didn't want to talk about her dead dog to some guy she just met, so she didn't respond. That didn't stop Zach though. He messaged Talia twice a week for the next 4 weeks, with his last message saying, "Brb crying,"- a final hail Mary thrown at 3am on a Monday night. Zach had only just moved to Missoula a few months before, following some friends that had made the trek out west for college. Zach actually lived across the alley from Talia in the home lovingly known as 'the Fruit Stand,' before he and his best friend Riley moved closer to the river. He also worked the weekend shift in those early days at Bretz RV, so no one gets to judge him for his 3am, Monday night shot-shooting. Talia was two weeks from graduating with her degrees and had solidly decided that she didn't have time for dating. A coworker noticed this and requested that Talia attempt to feel another human's touch before she graduated, and she begrudgingly agreed. Scrolling through her Tinder, she noticed this one person messaged her EIGHT times, which normally would have freaked her out. But, the messages were funny, so she answered him back. They went on their first date on December 2nd, 2021, and they've been inseparable since.
